Cylinder
The rotating part of a revolver that holds individual cartridges.
The cylinder is the multi-chambered rotating block of a revolver. Each chamber holds one cartridge. Pulling the trigger (or cocking the hammer, on a single-action) rotates the cylinder so the next chamber aligns with the barrel. Most modern double-action revolvers swing the cylinder out for loading.
