Open Carry
Carrying a firearm in a manner that is openly visible.
Open carry is carrying a firearm visibly — typically holstered on the hip. Legality varies by state (and sometimes by city). Open carry is common in some Western states and rare to forbidden in others. Open carry has tactical and social tradeoffs distinct from concealed carry.
